Intel 9th Gen Core i9 Known As Best Gaming CPU

Intel has said that their newly released 9th gen Core i9 is the world’s best gaming CPU. But this statement is not correct because their CPU is the fastest mainstream CPU and also the fastest gaming CPU in the world for normal consumers. The Core i9 is built with 8 cores and 16 threads. The chip has used 14nm technology, two cores have been added to the existing cores and also the clock speed has been increased to 5 GHz for the maximum usage time. What is meant by 9th Generation And The New Z390 Chipset

The whole Generation of a processor truly does not have anything in it. The generation is based on the year, meaning that it newer generation is added yearly. The only difference between generation products are that the newer product is a little faster and is a newer version. There is a main difference to this generation of processor. Intel has added 2 more cores and Hyper-Threading to their chips and also put a thermal shield to protect sensitive die which controls the whole chip. The New Z390 Chipset Intel has made the new Z390 chipset based on the Core i9. The only new thing in Z390 is that the USB 3.1 Gen 2 and everything is the same. Intel also took a step back with their chipset and said that, the Z370 chipset is also compatible with the new 9th Gen Core i9.

Testing The 9th Gen Core i9 To Its Limits

Before going into the testing of the chips, we want to clarify one thing, Intel chipset has an added feature which is the MCE (Multi-Core Enhancement). This feature allows the CPU to work harder and achieve more processing speed. We are going to test 3 chips together and set the benchmark for all of them. These 3 chips are,

1. Core i9-9900K

2. Core i7-8700K

3. AMD Ryzen 7 2700X

The first test that we did was with the 3D Modelling Performance with all the CPUs that are available in the market. The Intel Core i9 cannot compete with the Threadripper CPUs but other than that, it is the highest performing CPU in the market. Here is a chart that shows the benchmarks of all CPUs.

But not all programs or software demand multi-threaded work, single-threaded work is also as important as multi-threaded work. In single-threaded work the Core i9-9900K has performed the best compared to all the other CPUs. It has held its own very well.

The next test that we performed was by the open-sourced Blender. This software is very popular for movie markers. We ran the Core i9-9900K in 3 different setting. One was with MCE off, second is with auto setting and the last one is with manually turning the MCE on. With all these 3 setting, the Core i9-9900K has performed very well.

Our last test was with Encoding and Video Editing Performance of the Processor. We have tested the CPUs with converting 4K open-source Tears of Steel video to 1080p 30fps and also for 1080p Apple preset. Here are both the results of the testing.

In both of the tests the Core i9-9900K has performed extremely well and has also held its consistency over both its tests and came on top.

Best Gaming CPU

The Intel Core i9-9900K processor performs the best in gaming. Intel chips are built with the intent of gaming and it performs very well when comparing with Ryzen processors. Intel chips performs 10% then Ryzen processor and this has given the Intel chips to have the full coverage of the Gaming Sector. We have fixed an overall gaming hardware setting so that the whole test is far for every chips that are being used. We have used DX 12, and GeForce GTX 1080 card to evaluate our gaming performance of the chips or CPUs.

The next 3 tests that are going to be done is with the latest games that are out in the market. We are going to show both the highest game setting mode and also the lowest game setting mode. This will show how all the CPUs are preforming in all the bases.

The first game that we are going to test is the Deus Ex: Mankind United Performance. Here is the test result from 2 different testing, one is with Ultra high setting and the second one is with low setting.

The second game that we tested was the Hitman Absolution and for this we did the same, tested one with the ulta setting and the other one with 2K setting.

And the final Test that we did was with 2 the games of the same franchises which are the Shadow Of the Tomb Raider and also Rise of the Tomb Raider. And here are the test results for both the games.

The first game to be marked is the Shadow of Tomb Raider.

The second test is done with Rise of the Tomb Raider.

The Conclusion Of Inter 9th Gen Core i9

From the beginning we were in doubt about the performance of the Inter 9th Gen Core i9. We were optimistic if it truly is what it says it is. But after all the testing and seeing it in action we have concluded that this is the fastest working CPU for gaming and also for working. The price is high we have noticed that, but the performance that it delivers is all sector leaves the money factor way behind.
