Keeping your PC cool is a vital and critical to achieve the correct performance from your components. Heating up your PC components will lead to lowered performance and also its longevity. That is why everyone suggests adding a very good cooling system to achieve the right performance and also increase the longevity of the component. Before there wasn’t that good of a cooling system in the market that could help with cooling of your PC, but now there are various types of cooling systems that allow you to choose in what temperature you want to keep your PC in. Today I want to talk to you about both the water cooling and heat pipe cooling system and compare the pros and cons of each of them. I am going to give you detailed information and testing that will help you understand which cooling system you should go for.

Choosing The Right Cooling System For The Best Performance Of Your PC

When we generally see a water-cooling and an air-cooling system, we tend to think that the water cooling will provide more benefit to cooling rather than the air-cooling system. But this assessment is not accurate. We need to see the and assess the components statistically to get the most accurate of information. We need to know that both the cooling system requires water solution to cool the system, because we tend to think that air cooling system does not have any water inside the pipes that are cooled by the fans. We need to first identify why do we need cooling system for our CPU and is there any additional benefits. When your integrated circuit is running hotter then it should be running than it will consume more power and also loss its longevity. Overheating your CPU can also result in lower working level and also lower performance then it will normally give. That is why we need to have good cooling system for our CPU’s. The important thing to note from here is that, the cooling performance is as important as the sound level the cooling system is producing. We have tested and identified which cooling system out performs the other. From the testing we have found that the air-cooling system out performs the water-cooling systems. Mono or dual fan heat pipe cooling system truly perform very we in both the sound level and cooling performance. We have compared our CRYORIG H7 Plus CPU Cooler, CRYORIG H5 Ultimate CPU Cooler with CORSAIR Triple Radiator Liquid Coolers and the Dual Radiator Liquid Coolers. The performance of the CRYORIG H7 Plus CPU Cooler are 78 Degree C and has 34 dB noise level and CRYORIG H5 Ultimate CPU Cooler performance rating are 79 Degree C and has 39 dB noise level. Whereas the CORSAIR H150i Pro stands with 81 Degree C and has 36 dB noise level and the H100i V2 has 79 Degree C and has 39 dB noise level. The air-cooling system proves to be more reliable performance wise and also is less costly. It is beneficial to use air-cooling system when you think about it with price to performance ratio. There are also other pros and cons regarding the cooling system. One of the major problems of the water-cooling is the pump. The pump of the water-cooling system is pricey and also makes a lot of noise. The worst case is that the pumps are prone to fail more often then fans, and when it does fail the affect of it is massive. When the water-cooling system fails, you have to throw away the whole set and get a brand-new water-cooling system again but in the case of the fan cooling system, if the fan malfunctions and stops working then you just need to get a new fan and replace it with the broken one. This makes the air-cooling system cheaper than the water-cooling system. There are few pros to the water-cooling systems which you should know about. Because the system is full of water, the heat of the CPU is taken away very quickly due to the water and later is cooled down meaning that the water-cooling system has larger thermal mass compared to the air-cooling system so that there won’t be large heat spikes in the graphs. The water-cooling system is much safer due to have numerous numbers of holding points whereas the air-cooling system has only few points of contact to the motherboard. This sometimes leads to the motherboard bending or breaking to the enormous pressure of the cooling system. The reason behind this is because these air coolers are very heavy and large in size that leads to putting lot of pressure into the small number of contact points. This makes the water-coolers more suitable choice when coming to transportation. It is safer and also better solution to keep your PC safe.
